Recent Criminal Matters

  • Three Strikes 19 Count Robbery Gang Trial (9 defendant case, 6 counts against client) with a gang informant testifying implicating our client and client's car allegedly caught on videotape at the scene of one of the robberies: Successfully severed client's case (only defendant who had his matter successfully severed by order of the court), acquitted of all robbery charges against him, convicted of only one accessory after the fact case (a wobbler charge), and case successfully removed from the three strikes range.
  • Premeditated Attempted Murder and Residential Burglary Jury Trial where victim eyewitness (next door neighbor) identified 16 year old defendant of stabbing her 14 times: Hung jury on all counts, 9-3 in favor of acquittal. Attempted Murder and Burgulary charges subsequently dismissed. Client release with time served
  • Three Strikes Stalking, Extortion, Criminal Threats, Felon In Possession of Firearm Charges where victim was a former district attorney who knew and worked with the District Attorney trying the case, the Judge presiding over the case and the Lead Detective investigating the case and testifying for the prosecution: Hung jury on all counts
  • Attempted Murder and Witness Intimidation Jury Trial Against Admitted Gang Member: Not guilty on two counts, hung jury on four counts
  • 25 Year to Life Co- Defendant Rape Trial: Acquitted on all four charges except for lesser included charge, sentenced to only two years
  • Resisting Arrest Jury Trial: Not guilty
  • Gross Vehicular Manslaughter After Client Runs Into A Gate By A Bus Stop, Killing Two People And Severely Injuring Another, on Mothers Day: District Attorney decides not to press any charges and the case is dismissed at the arraignment
  • Co-Defendant Kidnapping Charges Against Former NFL Football Player And Girlfriend: All Kidnapping charges dismissed. Charges reduced to misdemeanors at the first court arraignment appearance, probation and summary probation for each defendant
